The control system is the UNIpro BTS, and I will be using one or two depending on piston tank number. What I mean is using the Engel piston tanks, but with a different control system. Okay, after surfing the web I decided that I wanted to make the ballast system myself. I'm still open to any of the following boats-212A, VIIC, IXD2, Gato, Lafayette, Akula, Typhoon, and the 206. Let me know if there is anything wrong with any of the Engel boats The only other boats that I even consider as modern is the VIIC and the Typhoon. But the thought that they are one of the most modern boats in the Engel fleet with their tech-racks, single hull design, bayonet lock, etc. As much as I hate to think so, I do feel that the Lafayette and the 212A are not up to my standards, since they have only a single piston tank, which is a no-no, can't add a pitch and depth controller, can't add a static depth controller, etc. Now it gets tough, since there is nothing wrong about any of the remaining boats (well, not that I know of). Out of 9 choices, I've just eliminated the Nautilus because it is not up to my style. I've chosen to buy from Alexander Engel, since their boats are suitable for my application, which is filming the bottom of my local lake, and that I get to do some electrical work, not just mechanical work. Okay, I've just finished a Sheerline Trafalgar, and now I want to go for a MUCH harder boat to build.
